Molly Peel has been downtrodden for years; bullied by her husband, Craig, who moved on to a younger model two years ago, and now a slave to her two grown-up children. When she is late for her daughter's wedding after her taxi is involved in an accident, her daughter refuses to listen to her explanations. She later develops concussion and is admitted to hospital, but when none of her family comes to visit Molly finally decides to take control take control of her life.

Molly tells her lazy son to move out and intends to sell the family home, which she inherited from her parents, and move on. She doesn't know where she'll go - anywhere to make a fresh start. But Craig isn't going to let her get away so easily; he wants the house, and is prepared to use any means necessary to get his hands on it.
