Tom Valenta is a public relations consultant, author and former journalist. He is currently a Principal of the large public relations firm, Porter Novelli. He sold the family business to Porter Novelli after Marie’s diagnosis. His wife, Marie, is a former primary school teacher. Their story has received extensive national publicity over the past three years including a double-page spread in TIME magazine.
