Holly Smith began writing when she was eight years old. She wrote poems which she sold to make money for the Red Cross. To add value for the twopence paid, she wrapped a lolly inside each poem. Her main career was as a teacher in schools but later she ventured into editing. Music, reading, nature, art, swimming, tennis, meditation and personal growth are Holly's main interests. She believes that if we truly love each other, and live by that, then the world has to be a better place. Holly hopes you enjoy reading The Billabong Games as much as she enjoyed writing it.

Des Hickey is an artist and author from the Wonnarua Tribe. His first book was The Legend of Thunder Rock and Other Stories.
