Out of Print Books

The Australian Online Bookshop cannot supply out of print books but we have had a look around for a good Australian service that can help people to find books that are no longer in print. We have found BiblioQuest International and their associated BibliOZ Book Search service. As a first step (but don't give up if it doesn't find a copy of the book you want) try:

Search millions of out-of-print books using the BibliOZ booksearch wizard

Search By: Title Author Keyword

If you don't find what you want there, request a search from BiblioQuest International who will do an exhaustive search for out of print books.

A book that is out of print is one that is no longer available new from the publisher. When the publisher has sold out of its stock of a book and no longer intends to reprint it, it is considered "out of print". If you are uncertain if a book is out of print, send an e-mail with the details to Bob Hoffman. Bob will check and let you know if the book is in print. If it is out of print, BiblioQuest may well be able to help.

BiblioQuest International is Australia's leading search service for out-of-print and collectable books. They will search among millions of old, rare and out of print books from the stock of thousands of booksellers in Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe and the rest of the world. When BiblioQuest locates a book to match your request, they give you a no-obligation quote to supply the book inclusive of delivery.

BiblioQuest offers a friendly, personal and professional service in partnership with quality booksellers and libraries. The search service can locate books on any subject, whether antiquarian or only recently out-of-print. The search can take some time and it can be up to three months before a full cycle of search routines is completed so do not be too concerned if it is a while before a copy of a book is found. Usually it is much quicker. If the book is not found during the initial search, it is retained on BiblioQuest's database in case a copy turns up sometime in the future.
