Delivery and Postal Rates.

Postage rates are based on the weight of books, your location, and the delivery option you choose. You can check the cost of books (or combinations of books) by adding them to your shopping basket and setting the shipping options.

Australian Orders

Within Australia, books are sent either by ordinary surface mail or Express Post. Surface mail can take a week or so - longer to rural and remote areas. Express Post is usually delivered within a few days to most parts of Australia. We recommend Express Post because, aside from being quicker, it is also safer. Express Post parcels come with a tracking number which the post office can use to find a parcel that is delayed or lost. Surface mail is usually reliable but there is no tracking number so it is selected at your own risk. Since Express Post is usually only a few dollars more than surface mail, it is the better choice.

International Orders

There are two options for delivery to international destinations:

Air mail takes six to ten days to most parts of the world. In some countries with normally reliable postal services, you will have a choice of insured or uninsured air mail. Uninsured air mail is cheaper but is selected at your own risk.
Express Courier International takes two to five working days to most countries. Note that this option can cost considerably more than the cost of the books and is best used only when there is a very urgent need for a book. Please ensure that you include your telephone number if you request this option - it is included with the address details for the use of the courier if required.
