Sid Eavis was born in England at the outset of the Second World War, growing up during a period of fear and insecurity. However, because he knew nothing else, this was "normal" and a safe roof over one's head or regular meals were never taken for granted. Even after the end of the war, food and clothes rationing existed well into the 1950s and there was no such thing as inflation or global warming!

Sid studied engineering and became a designer of specialized power generating systems. He and his family immigrated to Australia in 1970.

After Jenny's healing from cancer the couple became leaders in the Healing Ministry team, with a special ministry to cancer sufferers and their carers. Following theological studies at Moore College in Sydney, both became licensed as Lay Readers in the Anglican Church of Australia. They became close friends of Canon Jim Glennon - a pioneer in the ministry of healing.

Sid and Jenny live in Balgowlah, Sydney Australia and have four children and five grandchildren.
